UP NEXT - SPRING SKILLS & SCRIMMAGE SESSIONS! REGISTRATION OPENS SUNDAY, MARCH 2, 2025 @ 3 PM
As the Academy concludes it's Winter League Play and spring is on its way, we wanted to extend an opportunity for new and returning players to continue their skills training from spring right into the summer break. Our Skills & Scrimmage Sessions are age and skill level specific training intended for players seeking to learn and play. We aim to provide programs for boys and girls from ages 8-15 and with various levels of experience in basketball. Each session will be for 1 hour per week. A typical weekly session consists of:
- Welcome & warmup - stretch and prepare body for exercise - 5 min
- Basketball skill specific training w/ a focus on shooting, dribbling, passing, quickness/agility, strength & balance, high intensity training - 25 min
- Scrimmages (informal 3v3 or full court games with specific objectives and competitions intended to make the games fun, competitive, and exciting while practicing particular skills) - 30 min
The Spring Skills & Scrimmage Sessions:
- Consists of 9 weeks (Mondays) or 11 weeks (Wednesdays or Thursdays).
- Each participant will receive a Golden Eagles Basketball Academy T-shirt.
- A maximum of 16 participants to allow sufficient time to interact w/ coaches & play in scrimmages
- Provide an option for players who have played or may wish to play more competitive basketball in the future
- Location: Star Academy (1400 South Service Rd., Mississauga - across Dixie Outlet Mall)
REGISTRATION FEE - $198 (9 weeks) - $239 (11 weeks) plus HST.
